I taught myself to turn the corner, turn the signal off. If you do it right after you turn, and the Savage is so rider friendly that you just have to move your thumb, you'll have no problem. My SO has been riding since he was a kid (he has his AARP card now, just to give you a hint) and he is a MSF Instructor. I'm always telling him to turn his blinker off. If you are ahead of your boyfriend, just have him beep the horn and when you look in your rear mirror, he can move his hand like a talking puppet (that's the only way I can describe it) to let you know it's your blinker. That's our signal.
My just turned 18 year old daughter went out today with a girlfriend for her first ride sans parent. She was out for 4 hours. She loves it. We got another one guys!
